If you've landed here, it means you want to know how to blog for money, right? And hopefully, you want to know if money can be made pretty easily …
In the right place, you are!
If you started your blog a year ago, yesterday, or if you're just thinking about starting one today, it doesn't matter! I'm going to tell you exactly how you can make money out of your blog, and all the strategies I've been using to make money in just 3 months.
How I began blogging for money: My story
Do you ever dream of leaving your job and beginning to work from home?
Oh, I know I do! I have been employed in a very challenging role for the past 11 years. I was fortunate enough to work with people I love, but it was really time-consuming for the job itself. It was the standard to work in a high-stress setting for 12-14 hours a day.
I kept dreaming of a life free from pressures and being able to do what I did.
But in the evenings, instead of sitting in front of the TV on the couch, I began exploring alternative choices online. I found a lot of fun creative ways that could give me more flexibility to make money, but what I really wanted was:
Anything that would please me and that I would love to do every day.
Everything that made money and allowed me to live my dream life
I came across the idea of passive income during my research and thought: “Wouldn't it be nice to be able to set up anything and no longer have to think about money?” So I persuaded Dan to begin to invest in real estate and index funds.
We began producing some passive income, but I was still searching for my true passion. There was also something lacking.
I noticed then that I spend a lot of time reading blogs, looking at people who are living the life I want to live at the moment.
Some can stay at home and raise their children away from the business world, some can use their savings and investments to fly every day of the year, some have created a 6-figure company while going to school and some have created a new life for themselves that allows them to do what they love.
What do both of them have in common?
They've got a blog!
So I was thinking: maybe I should also start a blog!
But how does blogging make money?

I wanted to find my passion, but I also wanted to blog for money.
My objective was to be willing, after a year of blogging, to make $1,000 a month. I would just quit this blogging company if I couldn't do that, and move on to new adventures. But to do that, I had to learn how to blog for money … And this is what happened after getting my blog online for 3 months.
I have … made … 3878-38
Advertising Sales (Mediavine) = $2,572.73.
Affiliate profits = 1,263.96 dollars
I'm not going to keep writing how much I make per month, and it took me a long time to decide to share this amount, but I just wanted to let you know that with NO EXPERIENCE, it's possible to make money blogging.
Mediavine Income Study-Collecting Dreams
So how have I done it?
Has it happened by magic? I just want to say, first of all, that:
I don't have any writing experience for a living,
I didn't even know what digital marketing was until 6 months ago (I'm still unsure …)
I have never (and still do not) liked social media.
I've never made money before with an online product.
So, if you think that you can't do that, you're wrong!
And if you think it's too late for a blog to launch in 2020, that's not it!
Get started NOW!

That's how I did it, like,
I will tell you how you can make money blogging in just a couple of minutes, but before you all get too excited about it, I just want to be specific about a couple of things:
> Blogging for money is POSSIBLE, but it's … HARD <
If you're reading an article that says you can set up a blog in 10 minutes and make $5,000 a month later … that's not true, in my experience at least.
Blogging takes plenty of time and effort.
“There are going to be times where you're alone and no one is reading your blog and you're going to think:” Why am I doing this?
Ever going to work this? But you've got to keep going and be encouraged. You need to keep your goal in mind at all times. And if you think that you're not cut out for that, then it might not be for you to blog!
> Blogging is not a “fast and simple” thing to get rich < <
You're going to have to keep working at it.
You are going to have to write the material and re-write it.
Enhance your papers, figure out what works and what doesn't work, and you can't be afraid to adjust stuff. You need to listen to people who know better than you what they're doing, but then it'll be up to you and you alone to get the hard work done.
There's nobody going to do the job for you.
And if that didn't scare you away, you can continue to learn!

It's the best side hustle I've ever done to make additional cash! It is very cheap to set up, and after just 3 months, I made over $3,800. Find out how to start a blog and make money
Set up your blog to earn cash During my study, the first thing I found is that you need to make sure that people can come to your blog.
I am not a great salesperson and I knew I wanted to use ads to monetize my blog.
I don't like the way the blog ads look, but hey, they're making money! You need to make sure you're not using a free service to monetize your blog.
And the explanations are these:
How much money you can make from a free blog is restricted.
If you use a free service, you may NOT have your own blog or articles on your website.
To customize your design, you will have limited options and you will have limited support.
Your website would need to be self-hosted on a web server that fully enables you to customize your website if you want to make money from your blog.
WordPress.org is the world's most popular forum for websites.
It's free and highly versatile, and it's what I use for Collecting Dreams. You will need to host your files on a server (using a hosting service like Bluehost), while WordPress.org is free.
This choice comes at a cost, but if you set up your blog the wrong way, you won't be able to add advertisements to your website. Reasons why you want to use Bluehost

To select your kit, you just need to click on the green Get Started Now button.
With Bluehost, I have a special offer where you can get started for just $2.95 a month. Gathering Dreams-This is how, after 3 months working part-time on my blog with NO experience, I went from $0 to $3,878.
If you want to learn how to blog for money, I'll tell you exactly how I did it, so you can do it as well! Make sure the Simple started kit is picked, it's the cheapest, and it's everything you need to get started.
Write persuasive material that individuals want to read I discovered a really important thing is that you need to make sure that people come to your blog.
PEOPLE = MONEY = PAGE VIEWS
If you are solving a problem they have and they can get something in exchange for giving you their time, the only reason people would come to your blog is.
No one (other than your mum, maybe!) wants to hear about your personal challenges, but they may want to learn about how they can solve their problems.
You need to make sure that you do not write for yourself, but that you write to help your readers solve their issues.
But how are you doing that?
On other blogs, you learn about what works!
This is what (and how I do it) you need to do:
Put a list of your favorite blogs together (for example, I love The Everygirl)
Go to the Buzzsumo.com website
Buzzsumo is excellent.
It's very expensive if you want to have access to all the choices, but you can do almost all you need to do with the free option. You get around 5 free searches a month, and only the top 5 most viewed articles can be seen, but that's plenty when you're just getting started. In the search bar, add the website that you want to examine,
Check which posts are the most shared (you can see if Facebook , Twitter, Pinterest, etc. have been shared and how many times)
Buzzsumo-Most widely shared
Write a list of potential topics that could work for your blog (I keep them in a Google Doc) and blog post ideas.
They are likely to be interested in it if people have shared the article thousands of times! Find a twist on it that is more personal and write something similar.
Why can't I pursue my passion and just write down what I want?
You can, of course, but if you want to blog for cash, I recommend that you don't.
I gave myself a year to make blogging work for me, and I couldn't just hang out reading what I wanted to write for people to read.
Don't get me wrong, I love everything I write about Collecting Dreams, and my true passions are the subjects I've chosen.
I don't think you'll ever see me writing “How to get fit in 10 minutes a day” in the near future. It's a terrific topic, but I'm not really into fitness.
But if people want to read about Christmas recipes during Christmas, I'm all up for that!
3. Push traffic using Pinterest
How can you find posts and comments on new blogs on the web?
Check on Google!
But it takes a good few months to get your website rating on Google, and who has a good few months to stick around before seeing people come to your website?
NO TRAFFIC = MONEY NOT
So I did some research and read everywhere that other bloggers were using Pinterest to push traffic FOR FREE to their website.
With Pinterest?! Yes! Yes!
In order to find nice kitchen ideas and recipes, I still used Pinterest, but little did I know about getting traffic from blogs.
I see Pinterest now as a visual search engine and a forum for free advertising, but the best thing is that “average” people don't look at Pinterest images as advertisements.
They look at them as pictures that are going to help them solve an issue.
But how can you make use of Pinterest to push your blog traffic?
The five measures I used to get traffic to my blog are here!
1. Set up and turn a fantastic Pinterest profile into a Business Account
Pinterest Homepage of Collecting Dreams
Make sure your profile has a picture. Most people suggest that you have your profile, and I can see the appeal of that, so you can relate more to an individual than a brand, but I still wanted to maintain my privacy, so I chose to use my logo.
For me, it works!
2. Make sure that your audience has at least 15-20 boards that are important.
On Pinterest right now, personal boards are extremely important.
At least one board for your blog needs to be set up (or more than one if you write about more than one subject in your blog).
For eg, I've got 4 boards for Gathering Dreams:
Dreams gathering: for all
Food Collection: For recipes
Gathering Capital: for anything relevant to capital
Gathering Travel: For all my travel materials
This board / s will contain all the pins on your website that are linked to your blog posts.
You then need to build another 15-20 boards of topics that would interest your future audience relevant to your blog. Ideally, for each subject you think your target audience would look for to find your blog, you need to build a board.
For instance, on Gathering Dreams, I write about food, so I created relevant boards:
Recipes for Dinner
Recipes for Lunch
Recipes from Vegan
Make sure you use a well-keyworded definition for each private board, to make it easier to find.
Pinterest Homepage of Collecting Dreams
3. Build great Pinterest photos that lead to your blog posts that are “click-worthy”
I can't underline how critical it is. All your effort to write excellent content would be pointless if people don't click on your pins, as nobody will ever read it.
Ensure you're using readable fonts
Using the pin's call to action and intriguing wording that people need to press. “How I make $100 a day in my spare time , for instance, works much better than just writing” How To Make Money From Home.
Test multiple pins: For each post, I usually create 2/3 pins and then create a new pin for a few weeks every week to see what works best.
Keep doing it until you find something that works! But don't be afraid to modify the latest pin template and play with it.
4. Find community boards and add to those that are applicable
What are boards for groups? Community boards are boards that other individuals own. They will invite you to “pin” into their board, and your pins will come in front of their audience once you are in. This is a perfect way, if you have a limited number of fans, to get pins in front of more users.
To find boards for groups:
Look for party boards in the Pinterest accounts of others.
Using PinGroupie, a website that lists all community boards on Pinterest for you,
Join the Pinterest Group Boards group on Facebook: they have some fantastic community boards open every week there. Just keep having it tested!
My favorite strategy is spying on the accounts of other people for 2 reasons:
If I search for small bloggers like me and they have been admitted to a board, I'm also likely to be accepted on it.
Pingroupie may be outdated and by looking at their profile, I get a much better idea of. boards work well for other bloggers: if a big blogger is on a small group board, it's probably a good one to try to get into
Gathering Community Boards for Visions
You need to send a message or an email to the person who owns the board to join a community board.
In the overview of the community board, occasionally you will find directions, other times you will have to search around.
Never cease and never give up applying to group boards.
I wrote to at least 30 board owners a week during my first couple of months of blogging, and I got one or two answers most of the time.
It's usual here! Only continue to do it and things are going to get better.
2020 UPDATE: In some Facebook groups, you could read that community boards are not as important as they used to be. This is true, but, especially if you are just starting out, they still play a role.
Employ these rules when you apply to a community board:
Ensure that the board is as niche as possible, very important to your subjects, and well-keyworded. Ignore boards called “The best of blogging,” “All from the best bloggers,” and only go for boards that are unique to the topic. “Save Money Tips”, “Vegan Recipes” and “The Best Blogging Tips for Bloggers” are good examples.
Make sure that the pins pinned to the board to which you wish to apply are appropriate. For instance, I was on a great “Make Money Online” board, then the owner began pinning craft pins on the board and that board became useless because Pinterest didn't know what it was about!
Make sure a lot of writers aren't there. Ideally, you want to take part in 10-20 contributor committees. If you can, avoid boards of over 150-200 contributors.
5. Configure your daily schedule
There was a time when you had to pin 30-50 pins a day to make sure all your pins in the feed were seen by Pinterest.
Stuff now could not be more distinct. Fresh material is what Pinterest needs, and repinning the same pins several times all over the place no longer works.
Today, Pinterest needs new content every day.
What does fresh content mean?
New pins linked to a new post on a blog
Fresh pins / images for an old blog post created
Ideally, every day, you want to make new pins. I try to build a minimum of 2-4 new pins a day.
And the trick here is to re-use one pattern and use it for various pins several times.
You may easily change any of the colors of the font or change the aspect ratio of the pin. So you could make one pin 600-900 and another one pin 600-900 if you use the same picture.
600 to 1200, and they will be counted by Pinterest as 2 separate pins.
My new schedule for each day is this:
Every day, I make 3-4 new pins and pin them to my most important boards.
I then manually schedule them to be pinned to my other related boards with a minimum interval of 3-4 days with Tailwind.
This makes the total number of pins I pin about 8-10 max per day (3-4 new ones, and 4-6 pins I scheduled on my boards previously spaced out).
From time to time, as I still get some viral pins from pinning to group boards, I still pin to group boards (see below under Are group boards dead?).
6. Like Tailwind, do you need a scheduler?
I just used manual pinning when I began my blog as I didn't want to spend a lot of money.
Plus, manual pinning will allow you to get acquainted with Pinterest and how it works (if you don't use it much) when you start out.
But I began using the free trial of Tailwind after a couple of weeks, a scheduling tool that allows you to automatically re-pin your pins to your boards and community boards.
Actually, what is Tailwind doing?
Tailwind lets you create a pin plan. Basically, you will build a queue of pins, and your boards (and your party boards!) will be pinned to Tailwind over a fixed schedule during the day.
Think of it this way: Tailwind is pinning your material when you're watching prepping dinner or you are out with friends.
What isn't there to like?
Trust me, I have tried too many scheduling methods for pinning! And just as I do not find it very intuitive sometimes, Tailwind is the strongest method of the many I've tried.
You can check it out using my connection for free.
Tailwind: If you're tired of manual pinning, try Tailwind. Setting up your pin plan and making the most of your time and having optimal Pinterest results is a fantastic scheduler. For the first month, try it for free, and get a $15 free credit for your second month!
Unless you believe you know what you are doing, don't pay for it!
TIP: Basic Pin Pinterest Strategy Group is another great Facebook group to join. There are many helpful bloggers here if you are just starting out, and you are not sure exactly how to handle Pinterest!
From 3,000 page views to 10,000 page views, what I used to go
To get you started, these are excellent points.
I managed to get over 3,000 page views in my first month of blogging by using these tips.
This was not ENOUGH, however.
I needed a whole lot more page views from Pinterest if I wanted to make money for my blog. So I kept reading, and everywhere I looked, everyone suggested the book Pinteresting Strategies by Carly.
In only a few months, Carly managed to hit 200,000 page views using the method in her book!
AMAZING is Carly's course, and it's one of the most fairly priced courses you'll ever find. At $57, the greatest deal for cash out there ($52 if you use the PINNING5 discount code).
Even so, I am not a person who can easily withdraw money. Before purchasing it, I read all I could find on Pinteresting Strategies. I began to read the blog for Carly, subscribed to her emails, and then decided to go for it.
As a Pinterest beginner and more, her course is all you can hope for.
I wish I had not hesitated so long, and I would have bought it earlier.
I bought her course on November 27th and my page views skyrocketed to over 10,000 in December (my second month of blogging).
Pinteresting Strategies: When you start out, Carly ‘s course on Pinterest is really helpful. It really helps you appreciate what it's about and how to set it up the best way for Pinterest. Her approach would set you apart from other bloggers and help you earn thousands of page views from the beginning. Carly has just updated her awesome course and has offered a lifetime discount of $5 to all my followers. At the checkout, make sure you use the code PINNING5!
From 10,000 page views to 180,000 page views, what I used to go
A lot of manual pinning is involved in Carly ‘s system and I couldn't keep doing it every day. Then she contacted me one day about an awesome blogging course she was part of:
(AKA The Billionaire Blog Club) Blog Easy Structure
Scrivs, the same guy who runs Obstacle.co, ran it, and I couldn't believe someone as good as Carly was still learning from it.
I was still doubtful, so I sent him an email … and he answered, to my surprise, within 5 minutes. My topic for the email was “Does your course work for me?” He answered this: The Billionaire Blog Club isn't for everyone.
I loved his private reply, and I'm not going to share it completely here, but enough to say I decided in December to invest in it.
And this is what happened in January, after his tactics were applied in conjunction with Carly's:
In January, I got over 114,000 page views by integrating Carly's and Scrivs' strategies (remember, my third month of blogging).
I did 4 times as much and in a month I repaid both of these courses, and I couldn't believe it. And in February, this is what happened:
Easy Framework's blog is not just a course:
It's a group of wonderful people who are always happy to embrace you and to encourage you.
I can only send a message to the group of bloggers there any time I have a problem and I get a reply in a few minutes. And Scrivs is still there and happy to help you and answer the many questions you are going to have for him.
For themselves, the numbers speak.
It's not a cheap investment, but Blog Simple Structure is the place to be if you want to build a 6-figure blog that is going to change your life. I can guarantee you that you get your page views by using the tactics of Carly's and Scrivs.
But if you need assistance during your blogging journey, save as much as you can, and join us at the club as soon as you have the money! With 13 active courses, if you wish to start a successful blog, Blog Simple Framework is the only investment you need to make.
In Blog Simple Structure, there is not a single course that benefited me above others, but it is the combination of all the techniques that laid the perfect foundations for building my own profitable 6-figure business. Start by taking this free 6-figure blogging master class today if you are ready to make money doing what you enjoy and are willing to put in the work!
Learn from the best in the industry One of the things I spend more time doing than anything else is checking out the material of other bloggers:
How are they having page views?
What are the most discussed posts on their website that they have?
How do they look like their pins and which pins have the majority of repins?
How are they making money?
You're not allowed to imitate other persons, but you need to take inspiration from them.
If there is something that works for them, would you do it better? Why is money made by other bloggers?
I had over 114.000 page views in January.
Beyond my wildest dreams, this was. While waiting for my Mediavine account to be accepted, I managed to make about $1,000 with Adsense. I could see bloggers making a lot of money with less page views than me.
And this is how it was achieved by them:
They built stuff to sell (such as online courses or eBooks)
Through Affiliate Marketing, they won a profit
I didn't have the time and willpower to develop a product.
There are so many things to learn when you start blogging, so it's easy to get frustrated and give up. The last thing I wanted, other than blog posts, was to build something else.
But I wanted to take a look at Affiliate Marketing. I was fascinated by how, using her affiliate marketing tactics, Michelle from Making Sense Of Cents managed to earn over $1 million a year.
I don't think I'm ever going to get close to that anywhere, but I enjoy learning from people that can produce real results. In her Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing course, Michelle teaches beginner bloggers how to make cash with affiliate marketing.
She shows you in the course the methods she used to go from having an associate income of $0 to over $50,000 a month.
Note: if you are a novice and know nothing about affiliate marketing, Michelle's course is perfect. I will suggest Carly's in-depth and accessible course on affiliate marketing if you know the basics and want to simply increase your conversions.
My affiliate profits went from $0 to $1,264 in one month, after implementing her strategies.
Here you can read all the tips I used to strengthen my marketing campaign for affiliates.
5. Don't be concerned about investing,
When you are serious about blogging for money, you need to invest in yourself!
There are a lot of great free tools out there, and you can learn so much from free courses, but if you are struggling along the way with every move, don't be afraid to spend some money in a course that might help you shorten your learning.
I was so worried when I first purchased a blogging course that I was wasting my money.
I figured all of them were scams. How does anyone use blogging to make $15,000 a month? A month, $50,000?
I just figured I was going to get the normal suggestions you get free of charge from everyone, but in a nicer box.
I could not have been more mistaken!
In less than 2 years, courses like Pinteresting tactics, Dumb Easy SEO, and Blog Easy System supported me to become a six-figure blogger.
The SEO ( Search Engine Optimization) course by Mike is by far one of the best courses I have ever taken. In my SEO chapter here, you can read a little more about SEO and why it's relevant.
But there are a few things, no matter how fine they are, that I learned from buying courses:
Always do your homework and ensure that you trust the people from whom you purchase courses.
Before you buy, do not be afraid to contact the course owner: if they respond to you, and you like what you hear, you will be reassured. That course (and individual) is not for you if they can't even spend time answering your questions.
Don't just buy a course because you have saved some money for the sake of buying it and feeling better about yourself. Using it if you purchase a course!
I realized I had to set time aside every time I spent money on a course in order to really focus on it and learn from it.
As much as Scrivs helps me in my blogging journey, or in their Facebook Groups, Michelle or Carly send me advice and suggestions, it's just me and me alone who have to put the hard work and hours on my writing.
So just do yourself a favor and if you are not serious about it, don't spend any money in blogging!
If you just want to explore blogging and learn a bit about how to get started, read free tools, and use your time to spend as much as you can FREE in learning!
Before I felt like I was willing to spend some money in blogging, I read countless free blogging courses.
